REMEMBER
JOE.COM

FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.

This site is dedicated to Joe Eckles, a young man who at the tender age of 19 was involved in a tragic incident that took his life on September 7, 2002.  He touched many lives, both young and old in the way he carried himself day to day.  His outstanding achievements in the sports arena, included record setting performances in football as a linebacker, the MVP of his Lacrosse team, top wrestler and state finalist in weightlifting.  These achievements were at Cypress Creek High School in Orlando, Florida, where his football and lacrosse jerseys were retired for his outstanding performance on the playing field.

He is dearly remembered by his immediate family, his mother Janet, father Gene and brothers Jason and Jeffrey.

His loss is grieved by his closest friends in Orlando, and the friends and family in St. Louis, Washington and Bolivia.

A few weeks before his untimely death, he got a tattoo of a cross, signifying his commitment that he accepted Christ as his Savior and wanted to let others know about that commitment. This is the thank you note that his parents wrote for all that were a support during this tragic time.
